How I got into insulation work
I started out as a helper on a small insulation crew, hauling bags up ladders and feeding hose into attics, and I learned this trade from the ground up before I opened South Whittier Insulation and Spray Foam in 2013. I still come out to look at most jobs, and I still answer the phone.
Most of my calls come from homeowners whose rooms won't stay comfortable or whose old insulation is dirty and worn out, plus some property managers and small business owners. The order of the work matters most to me, because new insulation laid over a leak just hides it. If your roof needs fixing or the old material should be tested first, I'll tell you that before I take the job. South Whittier is unincorporated county land, so building permits here go through LA County Public Works, and that's part of how I plan a job in your neighborhood.
